Summer 1997, Vancouver, BC, Canada's "Straight Edge Powerhouse" BURDEN, is born, with one goal in mind, that is to start a heavy, fast and powerful hardcore band, much like the bands that had influenced
them, (Strain, Undertow, Judge, Strife, Youth Of Today, Integrity, Trial, Chain Of Strength, Cro-Mags, Warzone), with an outspoken, personal and positive straight edge message. Today, almost six years later, that intent still remains the same. Over the years, members have come and gone, but founding members Jason Kolins (vocals) and Sean Spear (guitars), have kept the spirit and focus alive, and still share the same passion to create energetic, angered straight edge hardcore with a message, as an outlet, and release from the struggles, monotany and grind of everyday life. To date, Burden has toured throughout western Canada, the United States and Europe, have a handful of successful releases to their name, and have appeared on numerous compilation releases worldwide. 2003 for BURDEN, (Rounded out by brothers Adam and Dave Mitchell (bass and guitar), and the bands newest member, ex-Day Of Mourning drummer Jason Kehoe), will see a new 7"/CDep on Dead Serious Recordings, which will hit the streets this August, a month before Burden's second European tour this August/September, as well as trips throughout Canada and the United States. If you've yet to hear, or see Burden live, catch them when they hit your city, and see why many consider them one of Canada's best HC bands.
This re-release of Burden’s “if you don’t stand for something you will fall for anything” full length record is strictly limited to 1000 copies only. Great looking gatefold cover make turns this release into something special..Act fast as they will go quickly.
